A few months ago, I had the opportunity to meet
Ed Stetzer at the AG Michigan District Council. (Thanks to Steve and
Mary Beth for the invite!) I was really inspired and impressed by his talks about the nature of the church today and predictions for the years ahead. I was also really blessed by the time he spent talking and listening to many of us at lunch, including lending an ear to me while I shared some of my thoughts and experiences about a quarterlife crisis.
I wrote down some of my thoughts and sent it into
Threads, an online journal through LifeWay Resources, and they published it yesterday. How very cool for God to redeem a difficult season in my life in such a great way! If you get a chance, maybe read it and let me know what you think about the topic. I'm feeling pretty passionate about finding a way for the church to speak to this, although I don't have many specifics as to how. Any thoughts?

I LOVE the article; I LOVE John Mayer; and I LOVE violins. Okay, maybe I've diluted the meaning of LOVE by using it so profusely, but I think you get the idea. I think you should write a book, sign it for me, and then I can walk around telling everyone I know a best-selling author, or I could sell it for mucho dollars on ebay. NO, I won’t do that!!! ;)
Very proud of you, daughter! Keep writing...it is part of your gift set to the Body.
Also, I love your new photo. As always you are the cat's .... meow!
Love the article. Love the fact that you love to bake. I like cookies.
Congratulations on your publication!
I wanted to give you a quick invite to join the Assembly of God Blogs network. You mentioned MaryBeth in your post, and she is part of it! (Easiest way to get to it is via my profile.)
Again, congratulations! Hope to hear from you soon!
I recently came upon threadsmedia.com and it reminded me of the situation that many 20-something year olds are finding themselves in. I'm glad that there is someone out there writing about this. I thought we were all alone. Thank You.
Liked your article! keep pursuing Jesus and making Him known.

Thank you SO much for directing us to your article. My life is surrounded by wonderful "QuarterLife" people... and I needed to read it! (and P.S.... 40's just fine!) Love you!
Hi Leah! I just want you to know that I figured this certain blog would be a perfect one to post on. I came upon the Threads website while looking for young adult bible studies. I am attempting to start a community based young adult group in my area. I am going to throw a concert in central park (at least thats the plan) in the summer of 2010 and then start the group from there. I have invited over 100 churches in our community to attend! I just want you to know that I read one of your articles on the Threads website and you read my mind! I also am one of those twenty-soemthings and really enjoy knowing someone else is in my same shoes! I've went back and read your blog from day 1 and find it very interesting. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see what happens next! Thank you for all the insight.. I just wanted you to know that you have new followers each and every day!
